Description
Saxenda (Liraglutide 6mg/ml) by Novo Nordisk is an FDA and EMA-approved once-daily injectable weight loss medication. Each pack contains 5 × 3ml pre-filled pens (18mg/3ml each) for subcutaneous injection. Saxenda mimics the GLP-1 hormone to reduce appetite, increase satiety, and slow gastric emptying. Start at 0.6 mg/day and titrate weekly up to 3.0 mg/day over 5 weeks. Clinical trials demonstrate an average body weight reduction of 8–10% over 56 weeks. Store refrigerated (2–8°C). Single patient use only — discard pen 30 days after first use. Rx only. Use with NovoFine® or NovoTwist® disposable needles.
